In 1963, the Bukhara-Ural pipeline was put into operation and gas supply began. Gas from gas fields was supplied directly to Uzbekistan for domestic consumption, directly to Russia via the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline and Kazakhstan over the Shimkent-Gazli gas pipeline.

Having the presence of the main gas pipelines: “Bukhara-Ural”, “Central Asia-Center” and “Gazli – Chimkent”, the gas field (“Gazli”) is the heart of the gas transportation system of the Republic of Uzbekistan and has the ability to export gas from Uzbekistan to the Urals, in European part of Russia, south of Kazakhstan and China
